Settlers Online

The Settlers Online, also known as Castle Empire, is a free to play town-building, resource-collecting MMORTS from developer Ubisoft available on your internet browser. The Settlers' story is based in fantasy world reminiscent of the middle ages. Embark on a journey as a settler in an uninhabited land, establish settlement, secure resources and expand your small settlement to the size of a powerful empire.

In the Settlers Online you take a role of a mayor of what in the beginning is a small settlement. The game is browser-based so naturally there is no need to install the game; as soon as you register your email address, you can create your own Avatar and select the server. Right away you are given your first tasks to complete. Similarly to other MMORTS, the game starts with a tutorial where you will learn all about the game's mechanics, complete first quests, and level up quickly. Start building up new structures and securing necessary resources. The main collection of resources is achieved by harvesting trees from nearby forests. These trees are chopped down and turned into buildings or burned for energy. When the forests begin to disappear, the gamer must plant new seeds in order to ensure future lumber. Resources can be also traded in the marketplace.
